The most important risk that can occur in galvanizing products is rust risk.  It can lead to the emergence of yellow stains, which are considered ‘vomiting’ under the paint.

The quality of galvanizing does not completely eliminate the risk of rust. The loading, storage and application conditions of the raw material and the product are also directly effective in rust.

When the rust condition occurs, it is very difficult to determine from which stage it originated from. The formation of moisture in the stacking galvanized sheets by wetting, or ambient conditions, create a galvanic battery between the two sheets, forming zinc compounds called “white rust”. This condition causes the zinc coating to become thinner and disappear over time. To prevent white rust formation, the following precautions must be taken.

1. The material must not be kept wet during transportation. (Our factory does not allowed to transport products with transport vehicles non-covered by canvas)
2. Galvanized sheets must be preserved in closed warehouses, protected from rain, water and moisture. (It should be covered with waterproof draping, if necessary, air circulation must be prevented)
3. Galvanized sheets should be placed on the wedge or pallets so as not to take moisture from the floor and contact with the ground should be interrupted.
4. Excessive temperature difference should not be allowed in the stocking areas. (Max 10 C)
5. There should be air circulation in the stocking areas and the relative humidity should not be more than 70%.
6. The materials in stock must be checked every two months and the surfaces should be erased if necessary.
7. The same conditions must also be provided in the field of the dealer storage area.
